One reason markets do not know what they want is that the persons in those markets pass time sharing ignorance in the service of building relationships instead of exercising intense focus on understanding the issues in those markets. It takes work to do that and it takes work to think and focus on the relevant important issues and "work" is a profane concept for many people.
